BUCKINGHAM — A 25-year-old Dillwyn man was arrested Saturday in Buckingham on eight drug charges.

According to online court documents, Antoine Monroe is set to appear in Buckingham Circuit Court on Tuesday for two manufacture controlled substance charges, three sale or distribute marijuana charges and three drug sales on or near school property charges.

Monroe’s alleged offenses occurred Jan. 24 and Feb. 7.

Buckingham County Sheriff William G. “Billy” Kidd Jr. said the investigation that led to the arrest was conducted by the Piedmont Regional Narcotics and Gang Task Force.

Monroe was indicted April 11.
