John “Bull” Bramlett was known as the meanest man in football. He was an NFL linebacker in the ‘60s and ‘70s, and he was a runner-up to Joe Namath for Rookie of the Year. However, he was also notorious for his heavy drinking and his penchant for getting into fistfights. According to a press release, in 1973, he came to know Jesus as his savior, and his life was completely changed. All are invited to hear his story at Worsham Baptist Church on Sept. 10 as they show the movie, “Taming the Bull: The Story of John Bramlett.” The movie features interviews with Joe Namath, Bobby Bowden, Larry Csonka, Tony Dungy and others. The movie will start at 7 p.m. Admission is free.
