BCYL Majors run in World Series concludes

The Buckingham County Youth League (BCYL) Majors All-Star team, representing Virginia, fell 18-4 to South Carolina on Monday, eliminating the squad from the Dixie Youth Baseball Major League World Series in Oxford, Alabama. Virginia narrowly lost its World Series opener 3-2 to Arkansas on Saturday evening. Nevertheless, Buckingham finished the summer with an impressive 9-3 record, clinching the first-ever state championship by a BCYL Majors squad.
