The Buckingham County Youth League (BCYL) Minors All-Star team went undefeated on its way to winning the District 4 Dixie Youth Baseball AAA Minor League All-Star Tournament, which was held at Gene Dixon Sr. Memorial Park in Buckingham. The BCYL Minors beat the Goochland All-Star team 17-4 in the title game July 4 after also beating Goochland 12-3 the day before. Buckingham topped the Amelia All-Stars 12-5 to begin its run in the tourney, and it will next play in Appomattox in the state Minors tournament, which starts July 21.
