MEHERRIN — The Meherrin Volunteer Fire Department’s Independence Day Celebration is set to take place Saturday at the firehouse at 102 Moore’s Ordinary Road.

According to the department, Brunswick Stew will be served at 11 a.m. The event will have food and craft vendors all day and fireworks will be lit at dusk.

Music will be provided by Class Act.

No alcohol or pets are permitted at the event.
