Cost share funding available

The Virginia Cooperative Extension has announces the second found of funding for the SOVA Agribusiness Information Technology Cost Share Program
According to a press release, in January, the Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE) was awarded $104,000 by the Tobacco Region Revitalization Commission for its Agribusiness project titled SOVA Agribusiness Information Technology Program.
“The objective of the program is to increase producer productivity, by identifying producers who are willing to introduce information technology into their business management and marketing strategies, for an overall increase in net farm income, either from increased revenue, decreased expenses or increased efficiency,” officials said in the press release.
Educational sessions will be provided for each best practice on Friday, Nov. 3 at the Olde Dominion Agricultural Complex in Chatham.
