Victor Gottlieb Lotterer Jr.

Victor Gottlieb Lotterer Jr. age 92 of Farmville, VA passed away on May 24, 2017. He was born in Baltimore M.D. to the late Victor G. and Dorothy Volkert Lotterer on August 7, 1924. He served his country during WWII as a medic in the Navy connected to the Marines in the South Pacific. He came home to marry the love of his life Betty Sue Davidson on July 4, 1946, they were married for 70 years.

He was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church and served it faithfully his whole life.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter Deborah J. Naylor (James) of Dillwyn, VA, 2 grandchildren; Michael R. M. Bennett (Amy), Elizabeth Davidson Horner (Edwin), 5 great grandchildren Lauren Blair, Joseph Bussells, Michael R.M. Bennett III, Margaret D.J. Bennett and Myles T.P. Bennett. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 infant daughters Lori and Polly.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 1:00PM at St. John’s Lutheran Church with interment to follow in Amelia Veterans Cemetery. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service at church form 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM.
