After more than 15 years with Buckingham Branch Railroad (BBRR), Gale Wilson, 67, a senior vice president, has chosen to retire.

According to a BBRR press release, Wilson joined the firm in 2004 and advanced to vice president in 2009 and senior vice president in 2011.

“Prior to joining the Buckingham Branch, (Wilson) served in the U.S. Army, including service in Vietnam, then worked for more than 25 years in management in the poultry industry, including his last two employers, WLR Foods and Pilgrim’s Pride,” BBRR officials said in a press release. “He managed construction of several poultry feed mills.”

“Gale played a vital role in the growth and success of the Buckingham Branch as we expanded to include the Richmond and Alleghany Division and the Virginia Southern Division,” Mark Bryant, the firm’s CEO, said in the release, “and he leaves a lasting legacy through the many important relationships he developed, his focus on customer service and in nurturing an employee-focused culture at the (BBRR).”
