Your editorial saluting peaceful protest, in the Feb. 7 edition (“Here’s to the peaceful protests”), is a welcome reminder of our rights as citizens in this democracy.

One-hundred-thousand protesters, and predictably more, will be uniting in Washington, D.C. on April 29 to celebrate our differences and stand up for our communities in demanding a safe and livable climate and an economy that provides sustainable jobs and justice truly for all.
