Hope Robinson shares a moment with Mack Robinson.

The inaugural Sweetheart Ball was held Feb. 18 at the Fuqua School’s Gee Price building in Farmville.

Girls in preschool through fifth grade at Fuqua and surrounding schools were invited to attend the event.

“We had about 40 young girls and their father, grandfather, uncle, brother or special someone (attend) the two-hour event,” event coordinator Lisha Robinson said.

Robinson said the evening offered food, games and dancing with music provided by a DJ. She said the dance was sponsored by the Fuqua Parent Teacher Student Association.

“It was such a special evening to be remembered for the girls,” Robinson said.
