Couple works hard to better the lives of the less fortunate in Buckingham

After traveling across the country helping build homes for families in need with Habitat for Humanity, lifelong volunteers Bill and Judy Kemp have now settled down in Buckingham County. Though they may claim they’re semi-retired, the Kemps still work hard to bring affordable, quality homes to mothers, fathers, children and others who live in less-than-desirable conditions. In Buckingham County, the couple has worked on at least two homes in the town of Dillwyn for families seeking better housing. The Kemps are currently working on a home in Dillwyn for a mother and her children to live in. Every Saturday, and during a good part of the week, Bill and Judy work on site, sometimes alone, to see that the dreams of the less fortunate become a reality. We commend the Kemps — who seek no recognition — for their hard work on behalf of others. Additionally, we thank them for choosing Buckingham as a place to live.
