Joyce Campbell Floyd

Joyce Campbell Floyd, 78, of Prospect, passed away on February 7, 2017 at her home. She was born on September 24, 1938 to the late Samuel C. and Marguerite Ferrell Campbell in Prospect.
She loved raising flowers and vegetables in her garden and was known to have a “green thumb.” She was a garden to table lady and was the “best cook ever.” She was a member of Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church.
She was married to her husband, Fredrick W. Floyd, for 62 years and together they had three daughters; Katherine Floyd Woodcock of Rhoadesville, Marguerite Floyd McCord (Matthew) also of Rhoadesville, and Lisa Floyd Sparks (Edward) of Orange; a brother, Samuel C. Campbell Jr. of Pamplin; a sister, Sue Campbell Franklin of Prospect; eight grandchildren, Brad Woodcock, Ryan Woodcock, Jessica Woodcock, Joy McCord, Campbell McCord, Mary Anne Penton, Katie Beth Rohrback, and Sara Sparks; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 11 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Puckett Funeral Home with interment to follow in Prospect Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Prospect Volunteer Fire Department or Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church.
