Prince Edward girls establish a new standard

The Prince Edward County High School varsity girls basketball team is now on its biggest win streak of the 2016-17 season after edging visiting Goochland High School 40-39 on Wednesday evening. In the Lady Eagles’ stretch of three victories, the most lopsided result came Tuesday with a 54-30 blowout of visiting Bluestone High School. Against the Lady Barons, sophomore point guard Da’Mya Harris, pictured, led all scorers with 25 points, while junior guard Kadeshia Wright added 17 points and 11 rebounds. Prince Edward (8-8) visits Amelia County High School on Friday at 7 p.m.
