James River State Park (JRSP), Gladstone, will host wagon rides to the scenic Tye River Overlook for visitors to “enjoy the prettiest view for miles around.”

During the event, set for Jan. 21 from 1-2:30 p.m., visitors will learn about nature, history and other activities the park offers.

Part of the event includes a short walk to the overlook, so please wear appropriate footwear.

Preregistration is required by phone at (434) 933-8682. Meet at the Canoe Livery when arriving at the park.

The cost is $3 per person, and $8 per family. No pets are allowed on the wagon.
