Deputies in Buckingham County are seeking clues and tips about what they’re calling a strong armed robbery, reported shortly before midnight Friday.

The incident occurred in the 2700 block of Ridge Road in Arvonia, Buckingham Sheriff William G. “Billy” Kidd Jr. said in a press release.

“A vehicle traveling south on Ridge Road was confronted by an unknown male brandishing a firearm. The driver stopped and the unknown male demanded money,” Kidd said. “The driver gave the unknown male an undisclosed amount of cash who then fled on foot towards Slate Hill Road.”

No one was injured during the incident, police said.
