PRINCE EDWARD — A Meherrin man was found dead in a car on U.S. 360 not far from Campbell Crossing Road around noon Friday. According to Prince Edward County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Brandon Yoder said a driver noticed the car and called the sheriff’s office. Yoder said it appeared Donald Mcglocklin, 70, pulled over to the right side of the westbound lanes of U.S. 360. He said a rescue squad responded and found Mcglocklin dead at the scene. As of Monday morning, Yoder said the man’s body had been released by the medical examiner’s office to the family and that investigators did not expect the man’s death to have been the result of foul play. The medical examiner’s office said Mcglockin’s death was determined not to be a medical examiner’s case, likely because no foul play was suspected.
