Reader questions ACP editorial

Your readers must question the intent of your editorial, “ACP is a no-brainer,” published Nov. 29.
This came the same week that your poll on the proposed compressor set a possible record for reader response, with 512 out of 589 votes opposed to the ACP compressor station. Your opinion that the new offer of a tap supports “the good outweighs the bad when it comes to the Atlantic Coast Pipeline (ACP)” misses the cost/benefit revealed in studies made during the last two years.
It also fails to mention that a tap was suddenly available after the planning commission special use permit hearing had overflowing attendance, keeping dozens from entering the auditorium and needing a second day to complete the public’s comments.
While Dominion claims to be a “good neighbor,” they present questionable tactics in concern for the Heart of Virginia’s health, safety, and exposure to our county’s costs for pipeline leaks and explosions.
