LU women’s soccer hosts ID clinic

The Longwood University women’s soccer program will host its annual fall ID clinic on Saturday, Dec. 17, at the Longwood Athletics Complex on Johnston Drive.
The clinic is open to all girls in grades 8-12 and features instruction from Longwood’s 23rd-year Head Coach Todd Dyer and fourth-year Associate Head Coach Rich Stoneman, small-side games, full-field games and a Q&A session with Longwood players and coaches.
The clinic runs from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. with a lunch break between morning and afternoon sessions. Registration is $130, and spots are limited.

Longwood women’s soccer is coming off a semifinal appearance in the 2016 Big South Championship following a dominant finish to the regular season. The Lancers went 5-3-1 in conference play to earn the No. 5 seed in the Big South postseason.
Longwood is 240-160-31 all-time under Dyer and 94-80-19 since joining the Division I ranks 10 years ago. Included in that success are two top-three finishes in the Big South standings and a pair of semifinal appearances in four trips to the Big South Championship.
