Bowles, Hurt finish Marine training

Two former Prince Edward County High School students recently completed Marine Corps recruit training at Parris Island, S.C. Private 1st Class (PFC) Lionel Bowles enlisted in August 2015; Private Serena Hurt enlisted in October 2015.
PFC Bowles graduated from recruit training on Sept. 2. His military occupational specialty (MOS) is 7236 tactical air defense. Bowles is currently at Marine Corps Base 29 Palms, Calif., where he is going through his job training. As a Marine reservist, Bowels will finish his MOS training and return to Virginia where he plans on attending either Old Dominion University or Virginia Tech.
Pvt. Hurt graduated from recruit training on Oct. 24. Her MOS is 30XX supply and accounting. She is currently at Marine Corps Base Camp Geiger, N.C., where she is going through Marine combat training and will move on to her job after school.
