The Farmville Lions Club purchased 70 holiday turkeys for dialysis patients currently receiving treatment at the Farmville/UVA Dialysis Center. Helping out are, from left, Sandra Newcomb, assistant nurse manager; Dana Cain, administrative assistant; Dr. Atul Bali, medical director/Centra physician; Lion Julie Flores, Centra Chaplain; and Lion Kerry Mossler, Centra. The Farmville Lions Club has been dedicated to helping those in the community for more than 93 years. The club meets at the Woodlands Community Center on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at noon. The Farmville Lions Club motto is “We serve.”
