Thirteen-year-old Tyler Harris, of Rice, killed a 12-point buck with a 19-inch spread during Virginia Youth Deer Hunting Weekend earlier this fall. He hunted in Rice the morning and afternoon of Sept. 24, passing up several nice bucks while waiting on the 12-pointer, which he holds at left. It came out right before dark. He has killed several other deer, including a few nice bucks, but nothing like this one.
