Dedicating a window

Published 1:34 pm Tuesday, November 8, 2016

Johns Memorial Episcopal Church recently dedicated a stained glass window of St. Matthew designed and made by artists Julie Shield and Jim Kirtland. The window is the eighth that Shield and Kirtland, who are also parishioners, have made. Shield designed all the windows and Kirtland made and installed them. The new window is at the back of the church, facing St. George Street. Displaying the window prior to its installation are, from left, the Rev. Elaine Tola, deacon; Jim Kirtland; Julie Shield; and the Very Rev. Nancy E. Meck, rector. We applaud this addition to the church.
