Centra Southside Community Hospital celebrated National Radiological Technology Week by recognizing some of its X-ray technicians. The national celebration takes place each year during the week of Nov. 8 to commemorate the discovery of the X-ray by Wilhem Conrad Roentgen on Nov. 8, 1895. The week-long celebration calls attention to the important role medical imaging and radiation therapy professional play in patient and health care safety.
