A drive-through ‘Boo-Thru’

The Historic Village at Lee Wayside in Buckingham County transformed itself Saturday night for some early Halloween tricks. From 7-9 p.m., hundreds of residents and visitors lined up in cars, trucks, mini-vans and SUVs for the village’s annual “Boo-Thru” for a chance to ride past some good, scary fun. The tricks included ghouls, zombies, witches, a headless horseman and boogeymen (and women). Visitors paid $10 for the privilege of driving along the haunted lane, part of the village’s ongoing fundraising efforts.

The Headless Horseman rode all the way from Sleepy Hollow to ask folks making their way along the Boo-Thru whether they knew where his head had gone. No one seemed to know.
