Shelva Joan Booth Baber, 78, of New Canton, died on October 28, 2016.  She was the widow of James Edward Baber.

She is survived by her children, John Humphreys and wife, Beverly, Debbie Rowland and  husband, Robert, Danny Humphreys and wife, Kyra and Dawn Wharam and husband, Eddie; stepdaughter, Nancy Kratt and husband, Bob; sisters, Gerlene Dillon and Barbara Richardson; brothers, Jack Booth and  Raymond Booth Jr.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Selma Booth and brother, Roger Booth and sister, Willie Mae.

A funeral service was held Tuesday, November 1 at the Buckingham Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery.
