The Squires Richmond Foundation will hold a fall basketball camp for boys in middle and high school on Sunday at Prince Edward County High School.
Camp Director Tony Squire, who started Richmond’s first boys Amateur Athletic Union program in 1988, has a history of using the sport of basketball as a vehicle to assist young men in receiving a college education.
NBA players who have won the Squires’ jersey include Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, Amare Stoudemire, Junior Burrough and Justin Anderson, among others.
Squires camps offer skill development and exposure for young players, and they also feature a knowledgeable and experienced coaching staff.
The Prince Edward varsity boys and girls basketball teams will be in attendance.
The camp will run 11:15 a.m.-4:30 p.m., with registration running 10:30-11:15 a.m.
The registration fee is $100, and online registration is available at www.squirebball.com.
