Buckingham JROTC Raiders come in first

The Buckingham Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) Raiders were awarded two out three categories for Raider at Buena Vista Mountain on Oct. 15, sponsored by Harrisonburg High School JROTC. The Bravo team led by Cadet Destiny Sutton would place 1st overall, 1st logistics, 1st in Rope bridge, 1st in physical fitness test, 1st in the 5km run. Cadet Haley Wyant would be top female in pushups with 54 in 1 minute and Morgan Pugh would place 1st in the mile run with a time of 7:04.
Participating schools included Carroll County, Orange County, Massanutten Military, Brunswick County, Powhatan and Spotsylvania.
Alpha team, led by Cadet Trenton Houser would place 1st overall, 1st in logistics, 1st in the 5km run, 1st in Rope bridge and 1st in litter carry.
