Freshman Morgan Mugnolo matched the best round of her rookie campaign with a four-over par 76, and senior Courtney Tolton recorded her third top-20 finish of the fall, as the Longwood University women’s golf team wrapped up the fall portion of its slate Tuesday at the Bill Berg Invitational played at the 5,876-yard, par 72 The Ridges Golf Club in Hayesville, N.C.

A product of Mitchell, Ontario, Canada, Tolton turned in a final round five-over 77 to finish tied for 17th in the field. The finish for Tolton marks the conclusion of a strong fall campaign to her senior season, as she posted a win and three top-20 finishes in four events played. Tolton exits the fall ranking sixth on Longwood’s all-time charts with a career scoring average of 77.67 in 82 career rounds.

Meanwhile, Mugnolo matches her best round of the fall — at the season-opening CSU Invitational — with a four-over 76 to post the low round of the day for the Lancers. A product of Gainesville, Mugnolo played the first nine holes of her round at even-par, as she posted two birdies in her round. With the round, Mugnolo climbed to a tie for 50th on the individual leaderboard.

Freshman Sirena Walsh completed her second-best result of the fall campaign, tying for 32nd as she shot an 80 for the final round. Walsh carded three birdies in her round and was two-under par over her final seven holes. She completed the fall with scores in the 70s in three of her final four rounds.

Crystina Kertsos completed a strong fall campaign with a 10-over 82 to finish tied for 32nd on the individual leaderboard. The round from Kertsos brings her streak of 10 straight rounds under 77 to an end. Meanwhile, Kyra Horlock posted a final round 82 to finish tied for 50th on the individual leaderboard. Horlock concludes her fall season after bettering her career-best score on two occasions and posting two rounds of even-par or better.
