Piedmont Area Veterans Council Co-Founder Sarah Dunn and President Shorty Osborn, right,  present a $500 check to Longwood University Professor Emeritus of English Dr. Michael Lund to be used for his “Home and Abroad” writing program for veterans and their families. As we noted in a recent feature photo, Lund is assisting members and families of Jack Garland American Legion Post 32 in writing a book.
