On October 8, 2016, Sharon B. Scott, 63, surrounded by her loving family went to be with her Lord and Savior. Sharon, or Sherry as most people
knew her, loved her family above every- thing else. She was a dedicated mother and a devoted wife.
Nothing brought her more joy than gather- ing her family around the table with a big pot of chicken and dump- lings. Her other loves included shopping with her daughters and sisters, fishing with her
husband, going to yard sales on the weekends, and last but not least, watching Young and the Restless every single afternoon.
She is survived by the love of her life, her husband, James Scott; her son, Howard D. Midkiff Jr. and his wife, Radha; two daughters, Angela Sprouse and her husband, Terry, and Shannon Fox and her husband, David; three grandchildren, Thomas Midkiff and his wife, Karly, Daniel Sprouse and Hannah Sprouse; two great-grandchildren, Alyssa Sprouse and Tatum Midkiff. Also James’ children, daughter, Faye Arnold and husband, Gus, Steve Scott and his wife, Shelby, Andy Scott and his wife, Bonnie; his grandchildren, Brandy Walton and family, Colton Scott and family, Tiffany Terry and family and five great-grandchildren; her two sisters, Pat Murphy and her husband, Clarence, and Debbie Midkiff and her husband, Terry; her brother, Lewis “Bubba” Nuckols and his wife, Teresa; and her best friend and second mother, Karen Bruce. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis T. Nuckols Jr. and Joyce Henshaw Nuckols.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 15 at 11 a.m. at Cedar Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, October 14 at Dunkum Funeral Home.
