Donate to hurricane victims

Central Virginia Christian School in Dillwyn is partnering with Gleaning for the World to collect supplies for hurricane victims. The school will accept supplies and monetary donations (payable to Gleaning for the World) through Friday. There will be a white trailer parked at the school from 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. each day. Glean-
ing for the World is a non-profit relief organiza- tion located in Concord, already helping in all of the affected areas.
The list of needed items includes: food items — non-perishable, manual can openers, plastic food containers, zip-lock baggies; baby supplies — diapers/wipes, personal care, formula; personal care (full size items) — toothbrush and tooth- paste, comb and brush, deodorant, shampoo, soap; shelter supplies — tarps, batteries, flash- lights, emergency candles, clothesline and pins, rain poncho, sunscreen, work gloves, blankets, generators, matches, briquettes; household items — cleaning supplies, mop, broom, dustpan, paper products, laundry detergent; and bottled water and Gatorade.
