Braxton Lee Apperson, Jr.

Braxton Lee Apperson Jr., 86, of New Canton, died Monday October 3, 2016 in Charlottesville. Born January 14, 1930, he was the son of the late Braxton L. and Ruby A. Apperson Sr. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Madeline H. Apperson and a brother, Samuel W. Apperson.
He is survived by four sons, Braxton Lee Apperson III (Jennifer) of Farmville, Thomas Michael Apperson (Arlene) of Charlottesville, Edward Wayne Apperson,(Kathy) of Fork Union, and Donald Jerome Apperson of New Canton; a sister, Ruby A. Loving; six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and a special friend, Lucille R. Jamerson.
Braxton worked for 40 years at the Bremo Power Station for Dominion, Virginia Power.
The family will receive family and friends Sunday, October 9 from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. at Colbert Funeral Home.
