A 23-year-old Dillwyn man is charged in connection with a shooting in Charlottesville that left three people injured at The Corner, a seven-block area of shops, restaurants and nightspots near the University of Virginia (UVA).
According to Charlottesville police, Lewis Alexander Tyree Jr. faces a charge of possession or transportation of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The incident took place Oct. 1 around 2 a.m. as officers with the Charlottesville and University of Virginia police departments were patrolling The Corner and heard a disorder in a parking lot on Minor Court Lane.

All were treated for with what appear to be non-life threatening injuries.”
