FARMVILLE — The Farmville-based Commonwealth Regional Council (CRC) will hold a Hazard Mitigation Plan workshop on Friday, Oct. 14, at 10 a.m. in the Piedmont Health District Office in the Prince Edward County Courthouse. The CRC said it is continuing to work on an update of a regional hazard mitigation plan for several counties, including Buckingham, Charlotte and Prince Edward, and wants to hear from interested stakeholders and the public. During the workshop, CRC staff will work with local officials, interested citizens and stakeholders to update the plan’s mitigation strategies.
