The 2016 U.S. Vice Presidential Debate and its related festivities in town have proven to be a draw for the young, seasoned and everyone in between
.
Jennifer Kinne and her family, as well as some of her friends and their families, have been enjoying the festivities, giving them all a slice of what she termed in a hashtag the “small-town big life.”
“I love Farmville and am crazy passionate about telling anyone who will listen how awesome Farmville is,” Kinne said. “There is always something to do, and the debate has just given this town more reason to celebrate!”

They brought along their children, as well.
“We toured the campus with our children, looking at all the larger-than-life marketing and media sets,” Kinne said. “Our kids were definitely fascinated.”
Kinne and her family enjoyed the All-American Downtown Celebration on Saturday at the High Bridge Trail Park plaza. Pictured at left is, from left, front row, Valerie Montgomery, Jeff Kinne, Judy O’Steen; back row, John Burton, of the Farmville Downtown Partnership.

She also participated in a debate kickoff party hosted by Navona Hart at Real Living Cornerstone on Friday.

“People often say they have to leave town to shop or attend social event,” Kinne said. “That couldn’t be further from the truth! Our town has so much to offer. I encourage residents to get involved, follow social media, sign up for newsletters and embrace the amazing-ness of this town we call home!
Kinne is the marketing director for the Farmville Area Chamber of Commerce, the social media manager for Letterpress Communications and the director of communications for Farmville United Methodist Church.
