The Cumberland County Branch of the NAACP will sponsor this year’s combined King and Queen Rally and Freedom Fund Banquet at 4 p.m. Sunday at The Bright Hope Center in Cumberland.

The guest speaker will be Virginia State Conference NAACP President Linda Thomas. Community members will be involved, including the Rev. Larry Mayo, pastor of Little Fork Baptist Church, as program moderator. The theme for the event is the NAACP national theme: Our Lives Matter, Our Votes County.
