Color Me Pink 5K will be held Sunday, Oct. 30 at the First Avenue field in Farmville. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the race will begin around 10:30 a.m. There will be a warm-up instructor from Longwood University during the registration along with music. The race will start off with breast cancer survivors who will share their story about their experiences with breast cancer. The event is a color run — hot pink paint will be used instead of an array of colors. The event is sponsored by the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority at Longwood University to raise awareness for philanthropy, breast cancer awareness and education.
