The Southside Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) is holding “primaries” for Top Dog and Cat-in-Chief as the Farmville area and beyond prepare for the U.S. Vice Presidential Debate on Oct. 4. Whether you are serious about politics or are tired of hearing about the political goings on nationwide, the Southside SPCA is in need of this Cats vs. Dogs election.
If your pup or kitties are up for the challenge, submit their photograph and get all of your family and friends to vote. Or, if your four-legged babies are retired from their political aspirations and just want to make a difference, vote for candidates who have already submitted their photos. Help them win the primary to get through to the general election.
Winners will be announced Oct. 16 at the Farmville SCPA’s Fall Open House. First-prize winners will receive a $100 PetsMart gift card.
Voting can be done online at www.southsidespca.org or at many Farmville businesses.
