Hampden-Sydney College’s basketball team starts the year with an exhibition at neighboring Division I Longwood University on Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. H-SC then opens the regular season 10 days later on the road at Averett University.

The Tigers will play in their first of two regular season tournaments Nov. 18-19 at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, as one of four participants in the Stephanie Tubbs Jones Basketball Tournament.

H-SC’s long-awaited home opener will come Nov. 30 against Washington and Lee.

Hampden-Sydney will host its annual holiday tournament on Dec. 19-20.

The post-Christmas portion of the schedule will largely see H-SC on the road as 10 of the 16 games are away. Some notable games from this portion include a trip into the deep south to play at Birmingham Southern (Dec. 28), at Emory (Dec. 31), home against Randolph-Macon (Jan. 11), at reigning ODAC champion Lynchburg (Jan. 18), at Randolph-Macon (Feb. 1), home versus Virginia Wesleyan (Feb. 8) and home against Lynchburg (Feb. 15).
