Suspects sought in home invasion

Farmville police are seeking two black male suspects in connection to a reported home invasion. According to a Farmville Police Department press release, officers received the call around 2:55 a.m. Wednesday from the 1300 block of Longwood Avenue.
“After arriving on scene, officers were advised by the victims woke to the sounds of someone walking inside of the residence,” police department officials said in a press release. “The victims advised that two subjects entered their bedroom armed with a large stick and shoved it into the face of one of the victims. The victim grabbed the stick and began to fight off the suspects by kicking them several times.”
According to police, the two suspects then fled the residence in an unknown direction.
“No one was injured, and no items were reported taken from the residence. The case remains under investigation,” police said.
The victims described one of the suspects to police as being a heavyset black male, standing between 5-feet 8 inches to 5-feet 9-inches tall, weighing about 260 pounds with a short afro, wearing a metallic wire-framed glasses. He was also reportedly wearing a black or navy blue shirt, blue jeans, and a red bandana covering his face.
The victims described the second suspect as a younger, skinnier black male dressed in dark clothing.
