Hazard mitigation plan workshop is July 29

FARMVILLE — A workshop regarding the Commonwealth Regional Council’s (CRC) Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan will be held on Friday, July 29, at 10:30 a.m. in Farmville.
“The Commonwealth Regional Council is updating the Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan for the counties of Amelia, Buckingham, Charlotte, Lunenburg, Nottoway and Prince Edward, and the Town of Farmville, and they would like to hear from interested stakeholders and the public,” a CRC release stated.
The workshop will be held at the Mill Room, located in the basement of the One Mill Street building in Farmville.
“During this workshop, CRC staff will present results of the hazard identification and risk assessment portion of the plan for review and comment. There will also be a brief discussion of public participation methods and the required update of mitigation actions for the plan,” the release stated.
