Sibhon Jolette Brown, of Cumberland, has been named a licensed professional counselor and has met all requirements by the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Brown is the daughter of Joanne Shearn and Earl Brown and the stepdaughter of Mark A. Shearn.

Brown has worked in the human services field for 10 years and is now a licensed professional counselor practicing in Richmond.

Brown obtained her master’s degree in counseling from Virginia State University in 2005. Brown is a sixth-year doctoral student, completing her doctoral practicum in clinical psychology.
