High Bridge Trail State Park will host two substructure tours on Sunday at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Attendees should meet at the intersection of High Bridge Trail and the Camp Paradise Trail.

Meet Park Ranger Bob Flippen on the east end of High Bridge near the fort and at the intersection with Camp Paradise Trail for a trek beneath High Bridge to tour the piers that supported the original High Bridge and the steel towers for the current bridge.

During the events, participants will learn about how both bridges were constructed and how long it took to build them with the tools available at the time.
