Behind every good man is a good woman, the old saying goes, and behind the volunteers of the Glenmore Volunteer Fire Department in Buckingham is a team of hard-working, dedicated and loyal women who make up the department’s auxiliary. The members of the group support the fire department and the Glenmore community in many ways — from bringing cold drinks to fires to raising money for equipment and operations. The fire department’s signature event, chicken barbeque, was held recently, uniting the community behind the department’s efforts. We commend and thank these women for all they do for the community.
