The Redbud Garden Club met May 24 at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church fellowship room to make plans for the upcoming club year.

While enjoying refreshments provided by hostess Dottie Fahrner, members formed committees and discussed upcoming programs. Exhibit ribbons for “Picture This” (an arrangement incorporating a frame or frames using Roses) were blue, Janet Higgins, Ann Ligon, Geraldine Sanderson, Joyce Thompson, red, Dottie Fahrner, and yellow, Liz Dunn.

For “Long Let It Wave” (a triangle arrangement incorporating a flag as an accessory) blue ribbons were received by Janet Higgins, Ann Ligon and Sarah Schember with a red ribbon going to Geraldine Sanderson.

Horticulture ribbons went to: Dottie Fahrner, one blue, Janet Higgins, six blue, four red, and one yellow, Sarah Schember, two blue, one red, three yellow.
