Come to High Bridge Trail on Memorial Day weekend to attend one of several hikes scheduled beneath the High Bridge substructure. Meet the guide at the Camp Paradise parking area on the east end of High Bridge. Once below, prepare to be astounded by the scale and scope of High Bridge from the bottom up. Learn how the original bridge was constructed by a workforce totaling 1,000 men and 200 horses over a two-year period and how the steel bridge was constructed in just 15 months. The total distance is approximately one mile and should take about an hour. The dates scheduled are Saturday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., Sunday at 3 p.m. and Monday at 2 p.m.
