Buckingham’s Future Farmers of America (FFA) Chapter has been busy competing at numerous events across Virginia this spring. Trevor Agee recently took third place in the Piedmont Federation Small Engine Troubleshooting Contest, while Will Auten, Amanda Bryan, Alexandra O’Neill and Lucas Smith’s veterinary science team competed in the FFA Southside Area Rally. The Junior Agriculture Mechanics Team, consisting of Shane Catlett, Jakob Toney, Daniel Wood and Anthony Banton, also competed, placing first overall. Agee, Wood Banton and Toney received individual awards. Bryan also competed in the Senior Prepared Public Speaking Contest, placing fourth. These FFA members will compete at the 89th Virginia FFA State Convention in Blacksburg. We commend the students on their accomplishments and thank their teachers and advisers for their support and encouragement.
