Recently 25 Fuqua School middle and upper school students visited Richmond and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts for the “Rodin: Evolution of a Genius” exhibit. Rodin is considered the greatest sculptor of the 19th and early 20th centuries.
“I really wanted my students to take advantage of this opportunity to see Rodin art and sculpture — what a chance to see a very big, in-depth show by this exceptional sculptor, one of the most famous the world has known,” Fuqua art teacher Forrest Layne said. “This exhibition features nearly 200 works and delves into some of his best known works and the creative process he pursued.”
