Levin posts seven points in 12-6 lacrosse defeat

Ian Levin (Chapel Hill, N.C./East Chapel Hill) scored five goals and handed out two assists as Hampden-Sydney lacrosse defeated Shenandoah 12-6.
Hampden-Sydney rolled up a 5-0 lead after the first quarter as Levin and Duncan Morris (Charlottesville/Christchurch) each scored twice in the opening frame. The Tigers cleaned things up after intermission and racked up four goals while shutting out the Hornets to provide the hosts a 9-2 advantage after 45 minutes of action.
Mitch Renfrow (Charlotte, N.C./Providence Day) notched 13 saves. Jared Arntzen (Atlanta/Blue Ridge) and Wilson Booth (Cary, N.C./Green Hope) combined to go 14-for-20 on face-offs. Chandler Shaheen (Richmond/St. Christopher’s) and Morris each scored twice.
Hampden-Sydney travels to Randolph-Macon on Saturday for a 1 p.m. game.
