PRINCE EDWARD — On Monday, the Prince Edward County School Board held a special meeting to determine the exact process for gathering community input regarding the next superintendent of Prince Edward’s schools.
According to Buffalo District Representative Board Chairman Russell Dove, BWP’s consultants provided the board members information regarding the exact process for gathering the information from the community forums.
In doing this, some of the larger employers within the county were sought out. “We want the community involved in the process,” said Dove.
He said some of the groups that have been invited to participate include members from the Prince Edward Parent Advisory Committee, the Farmville-Area Chamber of Commerce, Prince Edward’s NAACP, the board of supervisors, The Woodland, Prince Edward’s School Safety Committee and the Prince Edward Firefighter’s Association.
“They (BWP) outlined how the information will be compiled into the final report which will be presented to board on March 16 at 6 p.m,” Dove said.
